About Heather
Heather Cap attended her first Pop-Up Chalk Fest with the GA Chalk Artists Guild in April of 2016 in Atlanta and was instantly hooked. She co-organized and was a featured artist in Fayette County’s first ever Chalk Festival in May of 2016.
Since then, Heather has gone on to win multiple awards including the 1st Place Professional Artist Award at the inaugural AMA Chalk Festival in Albany, GA, 1st Place at Ft. Oglethorpe’s Patriotism at the Post event, and 3rd Place at the Flimp Fest in Montgomery, AL.
In 2021 Heather was selected to be a featured artist at Chalktoberfest, in Marietta, GA where she showcased her love of the 1980’s with her 10’x10’ drawing of Fraggle Rock. She describes her frequent tributes to the pop culture of her youth as a love letter to her childhood.
Heather has also been a featured and an assistant artist on larger projects with brands such as the 4 Bridges Arts Festival in Chattanooga, TN, Six Flags Over Georgia, and Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta, GA. In 2022, she travelled to Columbus, OH where she was a featured artist for the annual Chalk the Block event.
As a street artist, Heather loves creating art live, engaging with people of all ages in the community, and encouraging everyone to grab a stick of chalk, pull up some sidewalk or asphalt and join in! She plans to keep challenging herself as an artist while creating works with intention and love.
